What the program is
Limiting Factor (a product of AESIR) sends two kinds of text messages to people who provide their mobile number:
- Transactional — a one-time login passcode when you request one to sign in. These are sent when you ask for them, whether or not you opt in to reminders.
- Recurring training reminders — sent only if you opt in. These nudge you to check in and train on the days you chose.
Messages are delivered through our messaging provider, Twilio. We do not sell or share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties, and opt-in data is never shared for third-party marketing.
How you opt in (the consent step)
Consent is collected with a clear, affirmative, unchecked-by-default action. Opting in is not required to create an account or use the app. You opt in through one of these paths:
- Joining a team / unit at sign-up (via a unit invite link or QR code).
- Registering as a coach or team lead — this form is publicly reachable and shows the consent checkbox exactly as reproduced below: app.projectaesir.com/auth/coach-register.
- Turning on reminders later in your account settings.
- Texting START to a message you’ve received.
The opt-in checkbox as it appears at team sign-up (shown here for reference — it is unchecked by default):

In account settings, reminders are controlled by a toggle that is off by default; turning it on displays the same disclosure and is your express consent.
Message frequency, rates, and stopping
- Message frequency varies — up to about one reminder per day if you enable them, plus any login codes you request.
- Message & data rates may apply, per your mobile carrier plan.
- Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from recurring texts, HELP for help, or START to opt back in. You can also disable texts anytime in your account settings.
- Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchase or of using Limiting Factor.
- If a coach or team lead enters your number to send you an access code, they must first confirm you agreed to receive it; we record that attestation as proof of consent.
- If you are 13–17, a parent or legal guardian must consent to any recurring SMS enrollment on your behalf.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
